FAST Goes to
Old Lake Shore Road Fire

Town of Evans NY – MidTown – December 17, 2004 --- The Evans Center Fire Company's FAST-Firefighter Assist & Search Team was requested on Lake View's standard First Alarm assignment to a working fire on Old Lake Shore Road near South Bend in their district around 1am this morning.

Chief Bruce Green Jr. lead Evans Center's FAST to the scene with Assistant Chief Tiger Schmittendorf, Lt. Mike Relosky and Firefighters Dennis Allen, Tom Szczepaniak, Sean Murphy, Joel Raisor, Kevin Snyder and Matt Gombos.

Chilling winds whipping off of Lake Erie fueled the fire as firefighters from Lake View, Lake Shore, Scranton, Highland and North Evans worked to bring the fire under control.

No firefighter injuries were reported and the services of the specialized team fortunately were not required.
