This 2001 Diesel Ford Excursion replaces two light rescue vehicles with a combined service history of almost 50 years. Customized by Colden Enterprises in Tonawanda, NY - the new Squad 7 is outfitted with a stainless steel compartment for storing backboards, EMS equipment, water rescue PFDs, fire police supplies and other miscellaneous items.

The cab seats five and is equipped with an interior alarm that alerts the driver of any objects behind him when backing up. The FDNY style vehicle striping features the fire company's web address. The new Rescue 7 was put into service on August 8, 2001.
